The new year has come, and I think I've strayed from labeling decisions resolutions...The word just scares me, its too constructed, too ordered, too me-in-control. My new years deal is not a resolution, because that implies I have a decision. I have no decision, I have witnessed the greatness of God, and the love of Jesus and now I am slave to righteousness.

Romans 6:20-22 ESV

        For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.

Im stoke about my classes, but even more stoked about living a life well pleasing to the Most High.

 

dream: i was in some asian guys shop and chopped him with a sword, thought i left him for dead. I run out to my car, trying to get in and realize the door is locked, keys in the seat!!! freaking out because i just killed this guy and the cops will be there soon i pry open my door and get it unlocked. But to no avail the engine won't start only the lights come one. Soon with my lights shinning on the glass to his store i see him rising, bloodied and pissed. ohh no I'm for sure caught he going to call the cops. just then 3 other asians go in and kill that guy i hear him screaming !! i leave my car and run with the samurai sword and hide out

girls, girls, girls

gawsh, HLED 221- overview: men read in to things girls do too much. Laughing, smiling, touching is just friendship you fools, don't take it as the girl wants to jump your bones. Its easy to say that but when theres a really cute girl ( or two in my case) i think instinct over rides that logic. Instinct beacons you to read in to it.

Spruce pine trip

Going on a retreat to Spruce pine with Dr. Hildreth's class, should be cold, yet enjoyable. I don't know if this is the best time to be retreating though, with all the school work and projects coming up before thanksgiving break!!   sprucepineonline.com

Specialized Biking

Hooked up with a sweet organization this weekend! SORBA or Southeast Off-Road Bicycle Association maintains mountain biking trails and sponsors events to get people involved in this healthy and exciting activity. I caught up with them In Appling, Georgia on the Bartram Trail, a great trail for beginning riders but also incorporates some decently fun and technical areas as well. I must say my first trail biking experience could be considered rare because I had the privilege of riding a Specialized S-works bike. To the average person this means nothing, an avid biker would know what I'm talking about though. The S-works model is by far the bike of bikes. Full carbon frame, disk brakes, the most advanced shock systems in the world this bike was insane, insanely priced as well. 10,500 dollars is the asking price, i feel like it will be a long time before i get to ride one of these suckers again.

Cleaning with alcohol

As a youngster i was horrible about brushing my teeth. I hardly ever did it. I am now 22 years old and have not had one single cavity. I might be divulging a little too much about myself here but brushing and flossing wasn't so much a daily habit until high school. that is not to say i would go weeks on end out out an nice brushing but it could stretch a week. I actually justified this habit with the reasoning "I drink liquor often enough that it cleans my mouth for me!" HA wow now that i think about it though i probably owe a grand thanks to my mother who refused to supply our house with junk food and soda. It never really fazed me, i never felt i was missing out on anything because my favorite food at the time was ice. I can only conclude that her actions saved my teeth or alcohol is just as good as brushing
